Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) is the most common life threatening genetic disorder. It leads to aggressive heart disease, early cardiac events, and premature deaths. FH (heterozygous HeFH and homozygous HoFH forms) leads to severely elevated LDL-cholesterol levels starting at birth and leads to premature atherosclerosis and early heart disease.
